I have a 7 month old male kitten that is peeing in the house every now and then! He is getting neuterd tomorrow BUT am wondering how good of a chance this will stop him from peeing in house??? I do have 2 other male (neutered) cats that are 2 years old. Maybe having these 2 other cats are making his urge to pee on things? And he isn't spritzing, he's full on squeezing the sponge! He's peed on the hubby's covies, old old jacket that was laying downstairs that I haven't worn for years, and old blankets. Usually something laying on the floor with an unfamiliar smell. Just wondering if anyone else has had a cat do this and if neutering stopped it?

He has reached puberty and is marking his territory. I usually wait until the cat is about 12 weeks old and then have him neutered. A cat will continue spraying for a while after being neutered until the hormones are out of his body. Hopefully he has not formed the habit of spraying yet and stops, it may be a bit late though....

Make sure you get rid of all the old pee spots cause he's bound to cap them and if he doesn't your other two 'neutered' males might.
I have a 8 week old tom here now and my 'neutered' male cat has suddenly decided that he is still a tom and has started pizzzzing on every tree and blade of grass outside - luckily outside! He's about 8yrs old and just doesn't want the youngster around.
Good luck

That should stop him after he is neutered. You may want to limit the space he has access to until you know what he is doing. Like keep him in a room with all of his toys food litter box etc and no other cats so he does not feel the need to mark his spot anymore.
Good luck, as I know what a pita this can be not to mention the stench they make .

So I picked my cat up today, so far so good! The vet told me a few things I've never heard before, she said rule of thumb about litter boxes is you should have one extra to how many cats you have, I should have four since I have three cats. Seems abit much I know BUT I'm willing to try to add maybe two more boxes in trade of my cat not peeing on things any day!! She also said to try open litter boxes, hesitant to do this! If I have to have four litter boxes and some open it would be a huuuuge mess!! I haven't gotten that desperate yet! I went to my local pet store and a girl recommeneded buying a plug-in that gives off cat pheromones. It's suppose to calm cats and help with urinating and scratching. She had a neutered cat that starting peeing on her bed and tried the plug-in and he hasn't peed anywhere but in the litter box since!!! So I have that sucker plugged in down stairs! I know it's if first day back, but cross your fingers!!
