Anyone got any suggestions how to set the seeding rate on an EZ flow fertilizer spreader. All the setting on the chart are gone, I need to set it to plant 2.5 lbs of fuzzy seed ( B-Dahl Bluestem) to the acre. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Measure the circumference of the wheel. This will tell you how many feet you travel per turn. Place a cup under the seed outlet. Turn the wheel one full revolution, with seed in the hopper. Weigh what you get out. Multiply by the number of outlets. ( 20 on a 10' spreader) You can do this with 10 turns or what ever you like. This will tell you the total weight per turn. I use a postal scale. Trap some seed over one outlet using cardboard.
