I have a Ford 7840 that I pulled the fuel intake adaptor out of the tank while brush hogging. the adaptor is still attached to the fuel line, but i need to some how get the adaptor back into the tank and sealed. Looks like there may have been some sort of insert in the tank that the adaptor screwed into. New Holland just shows the adaptor coming out of the tank and only offers a new tank to buy. Any ideas out there? :help:

The line comes out of the bottom of the tank. The tank is polyethlene and from everything i have read, that the tank needs to be plastic welded for th repair the hold and last. Does anyone have experience welding plastic?

I had a plastic tank on a 4230 case-ih. tore the fitting out of the tank. I ordered a 90 degee fitting from swage loc. I measured the size and threaded the bottom of the tank . I used a fitting that would swage on the tube. I measured the remaining hole in the tank and sized the fitting to fit after threading the remainder of the hole the end of the fitting that went into the tank had a o-ring sealing washer. Swage loc has a website.
