His EPD for calving ease is minus 4, I'd want +10 or higher on heifers. His birthweight is 4 and I'd want a negative EPD for birthweight. Add to that his actual birthweight was 82 lbs.

He's not a heifer bull in my opinion.

This guy must have a bunch of Eagle Eye semen he wants to get rid of.
I don't shy away from an Angus bull with CED as low as +7 or BW up to +2 or so on decent heifers, but no way I'd breed a -4 CED(fairly high acc. to boot) to heifers here.
With a -2 CEM...I wouldn't want to keep his daughters...they must have a pelvic canal like a mouse.

No, the guy might be a great tech. you just need a better adviser for mating selections.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's probably seen plenty of Eagle Eye calves and is so enamored with them he over looked the holes/weaknesses. Eagle Eye is a Genex sire, so I assume he's a Genex tech.
