Only 20 days to go!! It looks as if I might be able to go to the twins on The 20th. Mark Martin has no scheduled races this year. I've been a fan of him since 1989. he is going to be involved with Stewart-HAAS. I guess I'll be pulling for cousin CARL

The way they're scewing with the points systme and the chase (which sucks) unless Tony wins it I don;t even much care anymore.

I tried to read the new scoring system Saturday. I'm to ADD to even try to figure it out on my own. :help:

A victory in the first 26 races all but guarantees a berth in the 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup a change that will put an unprecedented importance on winning a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race all season long
- Expanding the Chase field from 12 to 16 drivers, with those drivers advancing to what now will be known as the NASCAR Chase Grid
- The number of championship drivers in contention for the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship will decrease after every three Chase races, from 16 to start in the Chase Grid; 12 after Chase race No. 3; eight after Chase race No. 6; and four after Chase race No. 9
- The first three races of the Chase (27-29) will be known as the Challenger Round
- Races 30-32 will be known as the Contender Round
- Races 33-35 will be the Eliminator Round and race No. 36 will be the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship
- A win by a championship-eligible driver in any Chase race automatically clinches the winning driver a spot in the next Chase round
- Four drivers will enter the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship with a chance at the title, with the highest finisher among those four capturing the prestigious NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship.

its gonna take a little getting used to.

The chase deal and elimination is similar to how NHRA does their championship. At least it isn;t as goofy as F! with double points for the last race.

They just keep making it more complicated. I'll pull for Harvick again in the new #4 car. Stewart Haas ought to be tough.

What about the new qualifying? They gonna be tradin' paint in qualifying?
THAT is going to be interesting. I wonder if they'll outlaw drafting during qualifying. That style of qualifying worksin F! but there area max of only 22 cars (used to be 24) to qualify

With Danica bringing up the rear every race.

At least she isn;t a start and park
True....that really irks me big time. Legal theft. Joe Nemecek makes a million or more a year doing it. Run the race til the thing blows up or you wreck it then you can park it....or don't start the race. Danica is good at both of those options too.

That's the truth; good thing her rear is good looking or she'd be out based on her driving ability.

I wish I had 100k or so laying around that I didn;t need, I'ld bid on this:

The custom scooter three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion #14-Tony Stewart used to move around following an Aug. 5 sprint car crash that broke his right leg has been donated to the Darrell Gwynn Foundation. Stewart personally donated the scooter, complete with a special paint scheme that mimics the #14 Bass Pro Shops/Mobil 1 Chevrolet SS he drives in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, to the Darrell Gwynn Foundation. The Foundation, in turn, will auction the scooter at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson event April 11-13 in Palm Beach, FL. Stewart signed the scooter, as well as a 16x20 picture of him on the scooter. But in addition to the scooter, Stewart has created an overall package that will accompany the scooter's winning bid. It includes a race-worn Bass Pro Shops firesuit signed by Stewart and a trip for two people to be his guests at the July 3-5 Coke Zero 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Daytona International Speedway. Round-trip airfare, a three-night hotel stay and garage passes will all be covered by Stewart, and two reserved seats will be available on the #14 team's pit box for the winners to watch the Coke Zero 400. To make sure the scooter and accompanying prize package is a strong fundraiser for the Darrell Gwynn Foundation, Stewart will personally match the first $50,000 bid and donate it to the Darrell Gwynn Foundation
