I went to the local gun shop to try and buy some high-capacity magazines. It was unbelievable.....the store was packed full and the line went out the door and down the sidewalk. People were buying AR-15's, handguns, ammo and magazines as fast as they could phone in the background checks. They said it had been that way the last 3 days solid. I was able to pick up a couple of magazines for my handguns and I felt lucky to have been able to manage that. Wal-Mart is all but sold out of ammo and a large gun store just north of here dispatched their own truck to a factory that makes AR-15 magazines to buy everything that had made. The anti-gun crowd said they wanted to stop the sale of weapons.....well they have about accomplished that.....everybody is sold out.

I got a high capacity rock pile i am gonna work out of Hoss. Hope they don't outlaw them. If they do they can have them all but they got to pick them up.

Rather than shopping you need to be digging.

I didn't go buy any extra ammo or mags yesterday that they might take away if they pass a new law and make it retroactive--nope--not me.
 :secret: 8)

My shopping excursion today consisted of driving 190 miles round trip to my favorite Italian Deli and spending about $120 on imported delicacies for Christmas dinner.

Took my very large Italian buddy with me and we ate meatball sandwiches and listened to our favorite album "Mob Hits II" all the way there and Pavarotti on the way home.

I guarantee that it made me much happier than buying another gun. No offense to anyone else but that was my excursion and it was a good one!

Some of us have our priorities in order. Like finding good food first. Me trying to hit something with an AR-15...might as well shoot off a firecracker and throw a rock. :lol2: :lol2: I might go buy a few boxes of buck shot tho. Might see a deer in the woods.

My son is home from college so to pass some time yesterday we decided to visit the Franklin Gun Store.. We encountered the same thing Hoss, wall to wall with folks buying guns like the were going out of style....which I certainly hope they are not.

I have several pistols, a few rifles, and some shotguns. Nothing exotic or outlandish to speak of. I plan on upgrading everything at the next Bill Goodman show in our area in January. Hope Inwont't be too late.

I bought my generator in November four years ago. Turns out I didn't need it then.
Best time to buy 'em. Right AFTER hurricane season--or 1 hurricane season after a major storm blows thru.
Pawn shops and craigslist was full of good deals on them a year after Ike.
(how quickly people forget.)
