My new heifer.

Picked up this yearling heifer today. She’s a PB Gelbvieh out of Carolina Leverage and a Black Impact cow.

She is pretty heavily muscled!
I will probably breed her to a Balancer bull owned by a friend of mine.

We are in the same boat you are basically. Have had two rains of around .4 and one of a tenth scattered out in that time frame. We do have some green and they are getting a little but it won't last long. Going to wean the biggest today and if no rain come back and get those smaller in 2-3 weeks. Mainly because of time issues. The trickle left for hay is dying so will put the calves there for a few weeks.
