[QUOTE="Dave, post: 1833045, member: 498"] I had more to this written in my head that morning while feeding. But do to old age I couldn't remember it when I went to write it all down. So this is all you get. Christmas Morning on the Ranch T'was the morning of Christmas and Warm in the house Thanks to a fire Built by my spouse It is nice and warm Snuggled in bed But outside there are critters Waiting to be fed Heavy stockings pulled on My toes with care With hopes that Frostbite wont settle there Out on the porch sit Clyde and Spot the cat Wanting their breakfast So they can remain fat I fire up the feed truck Windshield is covered with ice But once it warms up The heater will be nice I fill a bucket with grain To give to the steer I want him fat As his butcher date draws near I turn the dogs loose So they can run Those two mutts Are having too much fun Hungry cows want to help me feed But their assistance Is not something I need The cows get to fighting And I am in the way Upright and vertical Is how I want to stay Coming to save me Patty jumps out of the cab I am glad she is a Border Collie And not some old Lab That rain last fall Made the grass grow But pulling apart frozen bales Makes feeding go slow Back in the house it is warm And my breakfast draws near Traditional Swedish pancake Made by my wife so Dear I hope all of you have as Merry of a Christmas as I did.
