What is the general consensus on the earliest you can succesfully breed back using AI.
Like anything else with cattle I'm guessing it varies, but what have you experienced, and are there any protocals or tricks to increase success rates trying to back them up a bit?
Thanks.

Earliest is synchronize with CIDRs 45 days after calving, will get about 70% to stick to first service, the next natural heat 18-23 days later is usually a highly fertile one to get the rest that didn't stick with the first service. Not much to be gained time wise I know, but you should get just about everything back in calf to calve from 335-375 days after the last calving. Anything you spot on a natural heat before the synchro starts you AI using the am/pm rule.

ive had pretty good success moving some from spring calvers to fall the two im moving now were late feb calvers. This year they have a nov 1st calving date thats in 2 years both did loose a calf 1 month early so i got them rebred after that in 32 days then the next year i bred them on day 42 after calving both stuck so ive moved them back almost 4 months in 2 years. I put the cidrs in on day 32 use the 7-day Co-Synch+Cidr then i watch them and breed at the right time 66 to 72 hrs usually. Then repatch at 17 days and breed again if need be.
