cutting down trees in a old pasture or hay feild to have more pasture for the cows. It has a lot of moss in it.Does anyone know how to get rid of the moss. impossible to plow up because of stumps .

Moss grows because of soil imbalance and too much moisture.

Soil test will likely show it requires lime.

Or you can wait for the sun to dry it out, the cows to beat it up and hope it will go away.

If the moisture stays high you will still have moss.

Remove the stumps - test the soil - work the ground and replant.

That is what we had to do.
