Awesome cattle!! That Tigerstripe is holding her own. Thanks for the pic's, it brighten my day.
Have you ever heard that breeding a lighter colored Hereford to Brahman creates that grey Tigerstripe ? Just asking.

You couldn't ask for a much better "old cow" than that tigerstripe. Good conformation, holding her flesh and has a better udder than most young cows. But why does the look in her eye make me feel like I might owe her money??????

Thanks for the coat color info Texas. Fatty is with our bull, the tigerstripe is with three Charolais bulls.

I like them both, my kind of cattle
What are you trying to hold in a fence that has 8 wires ?

You jack with her kind in the wrong way she will collect it with intrest.

Nice tiger stripe there JW! She looks so calm you could probably hold her with one smooth wire, wink wink :)

I've heard more theories about tiger stripe color than ticks on a dog. Has anyone ever come out with factual info on tigers and color ?

I have attended a ton of seminar's and work shops where the expert's were ask that question.
Never heard an answer I could hang my hat on. I have seen the same cow using the same bull produce a different color variation every year.

Hey CB, lets throw some fun in here. SO, if you bred one of them high dollar black Herefords to a brahmans what would you get?

I would think a a box of crayon's in your calf crop.
You have Angus/Herf DNA on the Sire and Herf/Brimmer on the dam.
Who is going to show up to the party?
You could end up with a set of Brangus looking calf's, Super baldie's, red baldies, tiger's, smokey tiger's.
This could make a fellow scratch his head come calving time.
I would think they would all sell well due to the ear.

We had to put up the extra wires when my aunt rented her place to a guy with small Black Angus cattle. His calves would squeeze through the wire like roaches.

Sorry cattle IMO call with how many heifer's you need to have hauled off.
I wouldn't do this for just anybody.

Caustic, I was going to make you the very same offer. I am headed to Goldthwaite to pick up some pecan equipment.
