A User ask about AI classes. For folks in Eastern Kentucky and SE Ohio, Morehead State University provides AI classes at the Derrickson Agricultural Complex.
A close friend, Dr. DeMoss - we were at Morehead together in 1970s - has a herd of about 20 Black Angus. He is a retired professor. The University has a program where he pays for AI service. They come out and synchronize his herd and AI. The program is effective, he got rid of his bull a few years ago. He said they stick almost all of them on first service. If one comes open, they catch it on blood test and he holds a tight calving window. He uses all Simmental semen on his Angus.
