I'm stealing this!

Reminds me of a true story. Teacher asked her third grade class what they want to do when they grow up. One little boy said "I'm gonna draw." Teacher says oh like art and design he says no draw a check like the rest of his family did. Sad but funny!

I predict the gov will come after landowners at some point. The land's worth a lot of money to a gov that will run out of credit sources eventually. People that own significant acreage are too small a percentage of the population to fight back effectively.

According to a recent working paper by New York University economist Edward Wolff, in 2016 the wealthiest 1 percent of households owned 40 percent of the nation's non-home real estate, while the next 9 percent of households owned another 42 percent.

The amount of land the elite has almost doubled in the past couple years.

The sad thing is some of those that don't work make a bigger paycheck than many of us working folk.
True. It reminds me of the Merle Haggard lyric in Big City: "There's folks who never work, and they've got plenty."
