The little rail car is a tourist car that runs from north of the legislature buildings to a mile or so east of where I live. It runs across the top of what I call the tallest (and oldest) bridge in Edmonton, pictured here, behind the LRT transit bridge. Underneath the LRT bridge is in fact a walk way folks can bike, run or walk on. I find that little walk-way much less scarier than walking on that big high-level bridge. Going back to the rail car, it is running on what used to be an old rail-line. So there's a little bit of history for you.

Thanks for posting the pics, made me homesick. Love when the high level has the water fall going. when i was younger the falls would go at night during special events with the fireworks and the falls lit up with lights. Just beautiful over the river valley.

I have a photo request.
Can you post some pics of the mutart conservatory too? Maybe all lit up at night? If they still do it?
Thanks

RR

BB and RR, thanks. RR, I will try to remember someday when I do get a chance to head over there. They're scheduling renovations for the Mutart Conservatory starting sometime this year, so maybe sometime next year or so. But I'll remember to take pics of them.
