Fall calving is too easy to I stepped in up a notch. I purchased a bunch of short bred heifers a year ago, two slipped a calf, got settled by a herd sire propect who was still on the cow, and so I ended up with 2 December calvers. They both calved this month on a clean strip out in an open bale grazing field. Calves use the round bales for wind breaks. Ended up with one single and a pair of live twins - - which positions me for a 150% weaning percentage!
