Dear Miniature Bull Breeders, Buckers and Riders.
This is an introduction letter to a new organization that is forming in the ranks of Miniature Bucking Bulls. In recent years, many individuals have invested time and money into utilizing miniature bucking bulls for riding events for kids aged 8 to 13 instead of steer riding or sheep riding. The popularity has been overwhelming. The kids like the aspect that they are getting on real bucking bulls just their size, not steers that somebody roped on the week before, or sheep that don’t have the same feel or movements as a bucking bull. The adults also appreciate that their kids are learning to ride on actual bucking bulls.….
A group of individuals representing all facets of the miniature bucking bull industry and representing all regions of the country have come together with the intent of forming an organization to serve the needs of this booming sport. We already have interest from miniature bucking bull breeders, event producers, youth riders and their parents to start an organization that can serve all their needs. We are in the process of incorporating this organization under the name of MiniBuckers, Inc. This organization will cover all areas of the miniature bucking bull industry not just a registry. By incorporating, we will be able to grow with input from outside influences. This will also make this organization responsible to its members by having a set of by-laws and articles of incorporation in place.
This organization will be run by a Board of Directors. There will be regional directors or state directors elected by the membership with staggered terms.
To get a jump start on the process of preparing Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws for MiniBuckers, Brian Trimble will use the Florida FFA Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws as a template for our Articles and By-Laws. Brian is in the process of working with our attorney William Wallace revamping that paperwork now.
MiniBuckers will be asking that the membership send in their proposals for Bylaws and Rules for this organization to operate under. Let’s set a deadline of August 1 for all submittals of bylaws and rules to the organization. That way we can go over them in a timely manner and hopefully, have by-laws in place by the end of August. If the membership does not submit proposals, then they forfeit their ability to complain about the by-laws that are put into place.
We have all watched the success of the PBR in which the original 20 shareholders sold their shares for millions. Talk about a return on a small investment. Mini-Buckers is going to start with a Board of Trustees (Shareholders) same as the PBR did.
You can also become a part of this new organization by becoming a Trustee or Shareholder. To become a Trustee you pay a one-time amount of $500, plus your annual membership dues. This one time payment can be made as follows: either one payment of $500 plus annual dues or initial payment of $250 plus $100 annual dues, next payment due 60 days from initial payment. That individual is permanently a member of the Board of Trustees. That member can never been taken off the Board of Trustees once payment is made in full. Members that are Trustees can also be elected to the Board of Directors or any elected positions within the organization.
If you do not buy into the Board of Trustees during the initial offering, the Board of Directors may at their discretion, extend the buy-in time allotment, however, the price for a position on the Board of Trustees will be raised to $1000.00, plus annual membership dues.
The list of individuals already committed to the Trustee level are:
William Wallace, Attorney for MiniBuckers, Florida
Brian Trimble, Florida
Bert and Frannie Davis, OR-CA-TX
Rick and Kat Samples, Oregon
All others that would like to become a stock contractor, breeder, event producer, sponsor, and associate members of the organization can join for $100.00 annual dues.
Miniature Bull Riders membership will be $25, ages 8 to 14. Their membership will count for any sanctioned or co-sanctioned events. Events that don’t have mini bulls at the events, but meet our age limit, will be co-sanctioned events. Points count for regional and finals events, or special events.
We can propose co-sanctioning to Junior Bull Riding Associations to expand our membership. The idea behind the co-sanctioning with Junior Bull Riding Association’s is to develop a contestant base of kids 7-14 years old that fit into our requirements for contestants. This will generate curiosity from event producers, parents, and kids about our Organization. How many doors will co-sanctioning open? This is a grass roots approach to getting the word out about Miniature Bucking Bulls.
“MiniBuckers.com” will be up and running shortly. It will operate as an information tool with bios, events, stats, catalog of animals, results, member blogs and message boards, etc… The website will reflect what the general membership would like to see or know about. So it will be up to you as members to provide input in those areas that interest you…
MiniBuckers Inc. is excited about the prospect of all the people wanting to be involved in a professionally run organization that will bring miniature bucking bulls and kids together all across the country. Please let us know your thoughts. You can contact us in several ways:
