I have a minature zebu bull two years old. We trimmed his feet yesterday when we trimmed him we dropped him to the ground on his right side. When he got back up his hips are now crocked. His left hip is 2" above his back bone his right hip is dropped about 4" below his back bone and slightly forward. Is this a stifle injury, a dislocated hip, etc. Has anyone seen this before can anyone give me any information regarding this. Is there anything I can do for him.

If he is relatively sound the wing if his pelvis (ilium) probably was fractured when you dropped him on his side. As it is the attachment site for a lot of muscle the muscles pull the fractured end down. What we see as the hip on a cow is the pelvis not the actual hip joint. There is nothing you can do for it. In cows it usually is cosmetic and they are completely functional, I don't have experience with a bull with this injury.
