He passed away today at 88. Listening to the Astros on the radio hasn't been the same since he retired.

Last few games against the Rangers, they haven't been worth listening to no matter who calls the game.

I used to hear him on the transistor radio too back when Milo Hamilton and Ernie Johnson called the Braves games in the 60's and 70's. I always thought he was great at his job, I was sorry when he left the Braves sometime mid-70's.
