As the geese fly south. The cows here start heading toward the winter feed ground. This morning there must be 20 pairs up on the road. There was 6 or 7 pairs up on the rock patch across the road. There is a pair plus one calf in the front field which we emptied on Monday. There is 5 pairs and a younger bull on the hill behind the house. I have no idea how they got up there. Must be a hole in the fence upstream along the river. Or thinking about it there is a gate down there along the river. It must still be open from last fall/winter. And yesterday I went out and fixed a spot in the upstream field where we put 20 one and done cows on Monday. I did that at about 8:30. At 10:00 there was a big Charolais bull with them. Where he came from and how he got there I have no idea. Being the first place they come to when they come out of the canyon I always get invaded this time of the year.

Wife thought one of the cows got out. There was a black critter on the other side of the ditch and the fence along there. I hopped on the quad and went to check. It was a black bull with B's ear tag. Another candidate for Dave's bull recovery service.
