MF tractors 471 or 481

well i think ive found a tractor that suits my needs if its still there when im ready to get 1.its between a 471 4x4 2002 with 2132 hrs an front end loader.or a 481 4x4 2004 with 758hrs an loader.im leaning towards the 481 because its the same HP as the 7700 ford.so whats yalls thoughts on MF tractors.

Same tractor. Only difference is a majic screwdriver. Engine, finals, transmission, everything is completly inerchangeable. Buy whichever one is in the best shape for the money.

they both look tobe in the same shape except for the hrs.the odds are they wont have them when i get ready to buy.but itll keep them at the top of my list.

Don't have any first hand experience with them, but I'm starting to see more and more MF tractors and combines around here. Still mostly JD and CaseIH, though, and probably always will be. Friend of mine, whose always run JD equipment, just bought a new MF 8680. There's gotta be a story there but I haven't talked to him recently. Just out of curiosity I did a dealer search on their website. There are 5 dealers within 55 miles of me, so they must be doing something right.

unless something major happens ill be going with the MF tractor.but by the time i get ready to buy it they maybe gone.ive always been a ford man.the price has really dictated wich tractors i consider.plus theres 2 dealers with in driving distance of me.

If you are sure it's what you want, why not get the deal done?
