metric hydraulic hoses, where to buy

New Holland wants $180 for a 24" hose. My hose has metric female fittings. I can find 3/8" hoses with NPT or JIC fittings all day but not metric. Do any of you have a source for hoses with metric fittings? Thanks

What "metric" fittings are you referring too?

There lots of different fittings that many would call "metric" line DIN, BSP, BSPP, etc.

Take the hose to a decent hydraulic shop and they will probably get you fixed right up. Locally Napa has a good selection and can order just about anything overnight.

I wouldn't have thought that $180 was that outrageously expensive, you get a hose made up and the fittings and hose plus the crimping soon add up. You might pay a small premium but the convenience of getting the right hose there on the spot I think I would take it.

I bought a Chinese skidsteer attachment and needed to change some plumbing on it. I assumed the fittings were some metric Chinese thing but turned out to be BSPT (British Standard Pipe Thread). A lot of New Holland tractors are made in Britain so it wouldn’t be surprising to find BSPT fittings on them.

My NH tractors use a mix of JIC, BSP, ORB, ORFS, and CEJN WEO off the top of my head, probably others I'm forgetting.

$180 sounds a touch high but not bad. I paid $224 for a 1 1/2"x 30" hose last week.
