Im not absolutly positive if i spelt that right but im curious about what old timers would call " milk fever". Could anyone just tell me some things about it?
If you tried to spell mastitis, it's not the same thing as milk fever. Mastitis is an enfection of the mammary gland. Milk fever is an imbalance I think it's a lack of adequate calcium.
Dun, you're right; it's low blood calcium level. If caught early enough easily treated with an injection of calcium ( and some other minerals I can't remember right now). The only case I've ever seen was a shorthorn cross cow my dad had 30+ years ago.
