Well you old pharts like me. Have you received your notification from the Social Security Administration telling you how much extra you're going to pay in Medicare coverage and prescription coverage in 2014? Looks like mine is going up about $230 per month plus another $69 monthly charge for prescriptions even though I pay for a separate prescription med policy. Total premium now $405.00. But we had to pass it to find out what was in it. Now we know.

Are you be nice off yet??

No shyt. Came all explained in a 7 page letter. Had to take it to the CPA for him to explain it all. Of course it comes out of your SS check "First".

Oh, it ain't over yet. There's gonna be all kinds of Doc's dropping medicare patients because of the cuts in payments. And the cuts continue a little more each year. That Obamacare threw seniors under the bus was one of the 1st things we got to find out about

Running right with you.
I still carry my policy from work that pays what ever is left that alone is 350 bucks a month extra for me and the Mrs.

Not to hijack your thread, but I read where there is a large percentage that are enrolling in obamacare and unknown to them they are being enrolled into Medicaid and food stamps also even though that never asked to, but the kicker is they are also leaving all their assets to the government upon their death.
The article I read said most are not even aware of whet they are agreeing to

I agree Cross. Individuals on Medicare should not even worry about enrolling in Obamacare. They could possibly lose all Medicare benefits by doing that.

That's the way I remember it,
I searched for the article and couldn't find it, but what I found on the search was 1.5 million enrolled Medicaid since oct 1 and growing
The people that are signing up for obamacare are the ones who qualify for the subsidies or being enrolled in medicaid

A record 70.4 million people were enrolled in the Medicaid health care program for the poor in fiscal year 2011, according to government figures provided to CNSNews.com.

That figure equals about 22 percent of the population, which means there was one person on Medicaid for every 5 Americans in 2011

They say it is a time bomb that is going to collapse

1 in 5 Americans Enrolled in Medicaid

Should have read it before hand !

I would love to shove that bill down the throat of the previous Speaker of the House.
At least the American public would get the satisfaction of she would know about what was in the bill after it passed.

Mines not quite that bad but I pay an additional $140 a month for medicare supplement and around $40 for prescription coverage. Don't have a clue what the $60+ a month for prescription coverage coming out of my social security check is for. I'm paying $1200 a year for prescription coverage and I haven't checked it but I bet the dam medicine don't cost near that much cash money.
