Anyone have a good meatball recipee (sp?) thats fairly easy for a bachelor who cant cook very well??? :lol: Need me a good football sunday batch thanks!
 
McCormack Swedish Meatballs seasoning packets are awesome. You can use 2 lbs of hamburger instead of one. Any grocery store will sell it. It's usually with the other packet seasoning stuff like chili or taco mixes.
 
Mexican style:

Albondigas

1 cup each: tomato sauce, red enchilada sauce, and beef broth (measurements don't need to be exact and you can use a bullion cube in a cup of water for the broth)

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb pork sausage

1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips

1/2 cup hot milk

1 egg

1 tablespoon chopped onion

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon cumin (plus a pinch of oregano and coriander)

heat sauces and broth in large pan. Mix remaining ingredients and form into small balls. Drop meat balls into lightly boiling sauce, cover and simmer slowly 30 minutes. (add some chili powder if desired as they simmer)

Remove meat balls from sauce and spoon of excess fat. Add more seasoning if desired (cayenne if you like it HOT)

Return meatballs to sauce and serve with chips, toothpicks or as a main dish.

this can easily be doubled, trippled, quadrupled and measurments don't have to be too exact. Yummy but use napkins - they are bright red and messy!
 
Stewed Meatballs
Meatballs
2 lb hamburger
1/4 c soya sauce
2 TBSP Onion soup mix
1/2 c bread(cracker) crumbs
salt and pepper to taste
Sauce
1 14 oz can of canned tomatoes
1 TBSP Onion Soup mix
2 TBSP worchestershire sauce

Mix tomatoes, onion soup mix and worchestershire sauce in large (dutch oven) pot. Bring to a boil while you make meatballs.

Mix all ingredients for meatballs together. Form meatballs, and drop into sauce on the stove. Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer 30 min in 350* oven.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Meatballs
2 lb hamburger
1/2 c bread(cracker) crumbs
1/2 c milk or water
salt and pepper to taste

Sauce
2 c brown sugar
2 TBSP flour
1/2 c vinegar
1/4 c water
2 TBSP soya sauce
1 TBSP ketchup

Mix together ingredients for meatballs. Form meatballs and brown. You can broil them in the oven or fry them in a frying pan. Place into casserole dish.

For sauce, in med sized pot, mix together Brown Sugar and Flour, then add vinegar, water, soya sauce and ketchup. Mix. Place over med heat and bring to a boil. Once sauce boils pour over meatballs. Place in oven for 1/2 hour or until boiling in 350* oven.
