Marking calves

I am getting ready to work my calves.
I will be vaccinating, castarating, and tagging. I want to keep a couple of bulls. How can I mark them before sending them thru the shoot?

Just to make sure you don't cut them?? Orange paint stick on them somewhere should be plenty.

My first thought. If you don't have one, just funnel some paint into a balloon and chunk it at them like a water balloon. Just make sure you hit the right ones.

If you can't tell in the chute then cut them all and go buy a good bull.
If they are good you should be able to see it anywhere.
Or sort them to a separate pen before you send them through.
