I find it hilarious that some players are saying he wasn;t all that good the past year and his stats stunk. That may be true, but the last time I checked the ones saying that didn;t play in the superbowl or win it this year.

Proof is in the pudding. He led his team to the pinnacle. The ones criticizing him didn't. I'm glad for him. I think he earned the right to end his career the way he wants. And like TG said, no better place than on top.

I don;t really even care for the guy, but he has had one helluva career, even if he has choked in big games a time or 2. He made a comment about "no one can out prepare him" or something like that.

I agree, it's really sad to see some of the drivers in NASCAR that drag things out for years and years after they have gotten well past their prime. Or even if not prime, their decent years. Then you get someone like John Force who is 66 and still competing and winning against younger drivers. I read something he said a while back about he doesn;t drink any caffeine because it slows him down.

I think the big thing he brought to the team last year was his attitude/leadership the guys just played better when he was out there

He mentioned in a recent interview that he would be open to a QB coach for UT. If he was to do this it would only be slightly less exciting for Vol fans than the second coming of the good Lord.
