A buddy and I went to Dallas Friday and toured Cabella's,Bass Pro,and then Cheaper than dirt.
Before I wen't I took the advise of a Nephew and left the check book at home and took a limited amount of cash. I'm glad I did there was so much,"had to have" stuff there.I did get back home with 2 full sacks of stuff. I'm here to tell you the price of man toys are outa sight. Must have walked 20 miles total.
I was like a kid in a toy store. :lol:

We've hit both headquarters, the BP in Springfield, MO and Cabela's in Sidney, NE. Bass Pro had more stuff but I liked the Cabela's store better, had some neat old guns.

Drug this thing home today, wife didn't mind but I'm still not sure how the cat feels about it:

I have to stay away from places like that, they make me put a dent in the checkbook . With that deer hunt I booked in Ga. this year. I know that would cause me to find all sort's of neat stuff. Secondly it cost twice as the Mrs. is going to get in the kitty as well. That dang deer hunt cost me for a weekend at some Bed and Breakfeast with a spa for her and my DIL.

I'm gonna say in Dallas Cabella's prolly has more stuff.
But the Bass Pro in in Springfield has more yet.

I'd like to think it's a coyote gun, but we'll see. It's a 223. Never owned a CZ before but after picking one up at a gun show a while back I had to have one. Took me a month to get my paws on a camo one.

I like a gun to have a plain wood stock and blued barrel.I like them better if the stock is worn and scratched up a little.Kinda to me makes it look like a good ol hunter gun instead of a wall hanger.
Now I don't mean a gun that has been abused,just well used.Of course I like it to be machinicly (sp) in good shape.
But having said this I do have some rifles with cameo stocks.

As far as looks and feel go, I love blue iron and wood. And it doesn't bother me one bit to scratch them up, that's what they're made for. But for functionality I like the synthetic stocks, they're rather impersonal but they don't shrink/warp with the weather. One of my guns has an H-S Precision stock, it feels good but the rest are kind of generic. I like this gun for the truck/tractor, it's got a 16" barrel:

If that stick is placed where it looks like it is he's probably relieved when you shot him. :lol:
