making the wrong wrench work

If your open end wrench is a little to big for the nut you are trying to tighten/loosen try inserting a flat head srewdiver in between the wrench and the excess space.

Also if you don't have the right size allen wrench, try using the next size smaller then the hole , and then use a really small one that helps fill the allen "hole" up.
