I am glad that I read all of your posts first, and did not open the video. I can't watch stuff like that. Any type of cruelty to animals leaves a horrible, lasting, impression in my mind. And I can't stop thinking about it, or mourning for the animal. :(
PLEASE DON'T WATCH IT, BCG. I have been seeing it in my head. I have such sweet cows. I have a 10 month old heifer that I had to separate yesterday because she was in her second heat. The cows would ride her down. I brought her to the shop. She laid in the shade and I sat down at her head. She put her chin on my lap and I scratched her under the throat. She was so sweet. Soft, warm and I love the smell of cows. Mine are all like that. I hate the thought of one of them being hit.

I remember a post on here a few years back. Someone had a cow that would not let the calf nurse. A person on here recommended whipping her. They said they do worse things to each other. That is true, I was watching a young cow exert her dominance yesterday. She was pounding on a young heifer. But that is a natural course. A human who is the keeper of these sweet bovines has to be disciplined enough to use his head to manage without harm.

Most of my cows even know what "Be Nice" means. I have cows that are incorrigible fighters, they pizz me off... I have other dominant cows that go just as far as they need to to say "I'm boss", and then leave it alone.

This guy is just in the wrong line of work... he ought to work on a railway or something...

And they just picked this barn at random. There could be so many more barns like this.
That's the part I have trouble believing. I know alot of people in this business and not one would ever let anything like this happen. What was going on there is sickening, but I don't think it is going on very many places.

Part of the problem is that help is so hard to find. I would say the pork industry, and dairies have that kind of thing happen pretty regular. A guy gets frustrated, nobodies looking, and bam.

I haven't watched the video and after reading your reactions I don't believe I will. Sounds dreadful.
Same here. Normally I'd go head long into the vid, but reading this I guess I'll pass. There are a lot of things I wish I'd never seen. No reason to add one more I guess.
X2. I always figured there was only so much shelf space. I'd hate to have a bad memory push a good one off the other end. Not watching

Says he may get 90 days times 12, I would still like to take a baseball bat to the loser. but if you think about it 3 years of someones life in prison would probably keep them from doing this again and it's a pretty good price to pay. Hopefully he will actually have to stay in that long.

Last time I had jury duty, it was all DUI cases, and one animal cruelty case. All the other jurors, but me thought the DUI people were innocent. The only person they fried was the lady that didn't water her dog.

Watched a little bit, enough to make my stomach sick (not very long) and turned it off.... HORRIFIC!! You know darn well he'd do the same to a person/child if he thought he could get away with it. Sick in one way is usually sick in others.....

And in that case I would have went the other way. Dog water lady no big deal, fry DUI folks. Beating a baby calf is just on a whole different level with me, part of it is what this guy was doing and then there's another issue of what made him think it was the thing to do, sick person.
