Maine Angus Queen!

This weekend at the Northeast Livestock Expo I competed for the title of first Maine Angus Queen and (surprisingly) I won! I am very excited to do all sorts of events this year and the best part is I don't have to wear a dress I can just wear western clothes! Here is a picture of me and my fellow contestants. Luckily I don't ever have to wear the crown again either, just my sash :lol:


If anyone has ever done anything like this I would appreciate any tips!

Super! Congratulations, That means you get to compete for Miss American Angus and scholarships at Perry Georgia (I think). Who operates the Angus Queen Contest inyour state? They should be filling you in on all the duties. Other than that just act "Queenly" and be an ambassador or the breed wherever you go. Your state adult association should be able to guide you also. i realize that maine is not all that active on the national level, so if you need to know more about natioanl oppurtunities, PM me and I'll get you the name of someone in the National Angus Auxiliary that can help you.
