Mail order, brand-name boots ??

Kathie,

Take a look at the Boot Barn...www.bootbarn.com

I have never ordered anything from them but know of some folks that did and were pleased with the product and service.

I used Amazon on the last pair I bought. The box showed up showing 12D and inside I had 9.5D. They 2nd day air'd my replacements and of course provided free shipping all the way around including the original purchase.

Anyone have a good on-line supplier for brand-name boots -- Justin, specifically; not custom, but just regular stock ???

For me personally Justin are about the most uncomfortable boots I've ever worn.

And lowest quality.

I've never owned a pair that wasn't made in the USA until this order. All of the previous held up great all the way around and were very comfortable. This last pair I ordered were cheap and China made. I'd say they will last a fraction of the time and I'll go back to their USA made boots. I still hate that I ordered the China POS.

amazon will have the best price most of the time. if you have a style and make and size its an easy transaction. You need to get you a pair of ariats- I wear boots every day to work and have worn every off the shelf brand. I'm on concrete, roofs , dirt, asphalt all the time and I get 2 years out of a pair of ariats v/s HH, justin, etc.
10002227 (34824) ariat is my favorite style even though they are made in china

Hubby has bought basic same type Justin work boot for years . . . he loves them. Needs a new pair.

I know you didn't ask what the best type of boot is, but you should try Tony Lama. I wear these:

The soles on these boots are like a michelin tire. Best boots I've ever owned by far, and I've had them all, Justin, Red Wing, Wolverine, etc...

Anyway, whatever boot you are searching for, search the exact style # or model # and then a $ sign. You will see the prices in many of the search results.

Guess I'm lucky I can't even get my feet down the throat of a pair of Justin.... :D

I order (or buy if I'm in "the city") my boots and jeans from Cavenders.
http://www.cavenders.com/

Most every order has arrived the next day even without asking for next day delivery. I'm guessing that is a location thing but it makes for great customer appreciation. A store is about 25 miles away so returns aren't difficult.

What did they close all the western store in E-burg? What about Sagebrush Saddlery? There is always the Big R in Yakima. I don't mail order boots. It seems to me that there are size differences even within the same brand. I want to try them on and make sure they fit.

Bootdaddy.com They have a huge selection of boots and western wear, Tony Lama is among the many brands they carry. They are PFI Western Store in Springfield, Missouri, a huge place. They are a sponsor of Larry's Country Diner on RFD-TV. They also donate a portion on some boots to Future Farmers of America

I use the same folks Vet....no complaints with them over all these years.

I have a really hard time with shoes. Selection is limited. A had some pull on boots that looked exactly like red wings. My feet broke out in a terrible rash. I went to the dermatologist. He walked in, looked at my feet from across the room and said,"You've been wearing shoes made in China".

I've never tried on a pair of Ariats, but wife has a pair and likes them, but she doesn't wear them often, and not for very long then.
Tony Lamas are like a 2nd skin IMO. Perfect.

Justin was good decades ago--dunno know about now.
But, Justin, Justin Original work boots, Nocona, Tony Lama, and Cippewa are all of the same company now, and owned by--Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway.

Cavender's (cavenders.com I think). I am Chennai, India for a short time. The guys here like what I am wearing so I told them to use Cavenders online. Took 3 days to get here after order and the shipping cost was about $15. PS: I have on 12 yro Tony Lama bull hides right now. The new Justin's just don't walk the same as the old ones did. These are as close as I can find to the old Justin's.
