not bad.....................good luck

Ok, I have one of their ropers. I had the rough seat flipped up to the smooth side. The rough seats get to looking worn too soon for my taste. These things are built and they are not light. Heavy thick leather in them. The only thing I didn't like was no pre-oiling. I can't tell you how much oil I have put on mine and it still ain't quite there yet. I guess I needed a drum of oil to just soak it in.

You probably know this but just in case. When you first get it soak the stirrups/fenders in a bucket of water for about 15 minutes. Just the lower 2/3 if you can get them in that far. Then twist the stirrups around to what would be normal riding position and stick a 2x4 through both stirrups to hold them there. Let it set and completely dry before you start your oiling process. Do this first thing before you ever ride in it. In the long run it will for a much more comfortable ride in the saddle and less stress on your knee/ankle/hips joints.

Are you trying to see if anyone likes these saddles or are you selling it?
I have their barrel saddle and is the most well made and comfortable saddle I have ever rode in. I know quite a few people who own riders choice saddles and the LOVE them!!

I asked about them a couple years ago and I think it was ALACOWMAN that told me where they were made. I am not trying to sell it. I was only offering what I thought was a good value for him to look at.

Now that I think about it I have one other thing I don't care for too much. That is the length of the skirt. It "almost" hits the hip bones on the back. Could be two inches shorter in my opinion. Then again my cow pony is pretty short coupled. The skirt may very well be shorter on a barrel saddle.
