To answer some questions posted on Beginners Board from the "Where's Caustic" thread.

This machine is a John Deere CT332 with the grinder 'box' mounted on the front. The CT332 is the model recommended for use with mounting that type of grinder because the skid steer needs auxillary hydraulics, which are usually installed at the factory, and this is a heavier duty machine.

The grinder box for the front of the machine is manufactured by a company called FECON. The particular model that I was referring to (on the other thread) is the BH74. Its called a Bull Hog. The cutting width is 60 inches and the box width is 74 inches. The required hydraulic flow is 27-45 gpm. The weight is 2,250 lbs.

As of now, where we are in Va. these machines are not available for rental, or so I have been told. Currently where I work they have been trying this thing out, and will most likely purchase this whole deal. I have been told that the price tag for the whole package is around $80,000.00. The dealer they have gotten it from is James River Equipment.

The website for the FECON Co. is http://www.fecon.com.

I hope this answers some questions. If not, let me know.

My cousin is a mechanic there. At least he won't have to worry about lack of work, being it is a JD dealership.
