Just a quick tip ,most of you probably already do this but I started using zip ties several years ago to attach the elec poly tape to my post.

.

I have monetized this thread so if you are reading this you owe me 5 bucks. Just pm me and I will send you my PayPal.

I'm a slow learner. Most of the stuff I've learned was given to me for free. I feel it's my duty to redneck the world for Free.

Zip ties are the new duct tape.
Stop by harbor freight sometime and get their zip tie tool it's like 3 bucks and it tightens and you twist and it cuts the tail off.

Yes, be sure to show some poor indigent person how to use a zip tie. Pay it forward!

From my experience Harbor Freight zip ties are junk. Too brittle to tighten.

This is clearly another case of discrimination!

M5, I like the idea of using the zip tie for this job but without a video actually showing the procedure I don't really see this being worth $5. However I will send $2 for the tip. Now whats your pay pal's name and address so I can mail him the money?

BTW, do you know how much shipping is going to be on 200 Pennys?

Have you not learned by now that you must put it on youtube to get the big dollars.
NO money in it until it goes "viral". But you can speed up the count by opening and reading it yourself several thousand times a day.

I feel it's also my duty to suggest the use of zipties to fasten wire to steel posts.

It's hard to find good quality zipties around here.. auto parts stores and places like HF sell junk.. Thomas and Betts ties (and anything else really) is usually pretty good.. Black ones seem to be better than white when in the sun.

No discount for you.

Today's tip

Leaves
.

No more leaves.
.

If you wait till they all fall you can just burn them and you don't even have to pick up a rake.

Yes Thomas & Betts are the best. They are the only brand we use in aircraft applications. They all have the stainless steel lock tab. Black are better for heat rating and for UV. They do cost more if you buy in small quantities. But if you buy them in 1000 packages its not much difference. I can see if you are using them for this electric fence application it would be easy to use up a thousand

Would you rather the wires in the wiring bundles just spread all out, rub against something and the aircraft catch fire and burn like M5's leaves?
