I gave a dose of lute to a group of heifers that I'm retaining from last spring on Monday. I weaned them in Oct but was afraid that some of them had already been bred (good thing too because I've found 3 fetuses). Some time on Thursday one of the bulls went thru a gate and got with them. I separated him Thurs evening. I thought that I'd either give them all another dose of lute in a couple weeks or blood test them all in a month and only lute the ones that the bull bred. I'd rather give them all another dose of lute, but I worry about if that may screw them up.. I plan to do 14-dayTAI in May so this will be another dose within 6 months. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I'd hit them all again and you only need to wait ten days from the date the bull was in and I'd do it quicker rather than later to get anything that the first round missed as it's around 70% effective up until about four months and then it's effectiveness drops to around 35%. And you can't "screw them up" with lut. Just make sure you get the bull penned up tight before you hit them or you'll be doing it again in two weeks. :D
