I know there has been a lot of talk on longhorn but I have another question bout them. If you are not worried bout the color what would you cross them with to get a replacement heifers? I was thinking maybe herford or braunvieh.

Neighbor down the road uses Angus on F-1's . Sells some the ones chrome comes out on for freezer beef.
The 3/4 calves look pretty good some still have some LH characteristics like head shape or hatchet a$$.
He has a supply of F-1's from a Dr, lawyer or Indian chief somewhere down in the salt grass.
