So I've got the Farrier coming today right. I want to have all the horses ready when he gets here. We are going to trim three. I halter two and have them tied up and ready. The problem is I have a gelding that will be two in July. He decides he doesn't want to wear a halter today. I spent about an hour trying to get a halter on him with no luck. Had the other two trimmed. It just aggravates me when he wants to be a little SOB! I'll just have to work him some more and see if get to be a bit more cooperative.

Sounds like my husbands horse. I hate that bugger.
You can never catch him for anything unless he is in the corral or barn and sometimes not even then.
Love my horses you can walk out to them anywhere and yell and here they come a runnin.
Just some more ground work and just a thought, I sorta of spoiled mine. Each time they are caught they get a reward. I also will just catch them brush them out completely, clean their feet, comb out the mane and tail and then just turn them out without doing any riding. Then they never know when the "loving" or the working is coming is going to be done.

I love a one man horse. I came home from work one day and the vet and GF were out trying to catch mine. I told them wait a minute until I changed. I went out and whistled, he came a stopped within a few feet of me, I put the rope on him and lead him up to the vet for shots.

Vet just mumbled "one man horse".
