WHOOOOOOOEEEEEEE!!! There's water coming out of the sky at my house.
I believe it's called rain but not sure.Lots of thunder and lightning with it.
It has droped the fire fears for a while anyhow.
What a great Christmas Eve.

Yeah, I was looking at the radar. Wondering if it may make it to us before getting ripped apart. The morning map looks like a chance but the afternoon map doesn't. Doesn't have many more days left to rain this month or this year so maybe thatis in our favor.

All we ended up ewith was a 1/4 inch of ice (sleet and freezing rain) then an 1 1/2 inches of snow on that. Doesn;t look like anythign else is in the immediate future.

We started with 2 or 3 inches of snow in the 6:00 am push and about half of that melted off before the next wave about noonish dropped another inch or so. West of us in Washington county they had around 6 inches in some places. Local weather people said the sleet and freezing rain stayed south and west of us for the most part. Glad to hear you all are getting some moisture!

I got a little over an inch and welcomed that. Now were are only 29 inches behind for the year.
I don't want to try and catch up in whats left of this year.

Ain't that the truth. I'm thinking we are about 18 inches behind (don't have access to my rainfall records right now). We were something like 15 inches behind last in August of 2009 and finished the year a couple inches above normal. Really going to need some timely rain come spring and summer or it is going to be really bad.

Got 1.1" Friday evening, nice and slow.

We're pretty far ahead of the yearly average here, but still about an inch behind for December.

Looks like we got 20% chance of rain today and tomorrow.
But that leaves an 80% chance that it won't rain.

Got a light drizzle going on this morning...but around midnight last night between Conroe and Navasota I ran into some real light mist... First thing I though was a radiator hose springing a leak...
