Has anyone ever built a homemade single row liquid fertilizer rig?

Why would you want one?

Years ago we had a single row applicator for watermelons but it used anhydrous ammonia not liquid N.

You can use a spray tip nozzle to regulate the flow. I have sprayed lots of liquid fertilizer..I used the Teejet 4004 at 40 psi..this should give you 20 gal per acre of liquid spray and cover a 20" ban when set at 20" above the surface.

I have sprayed liquid N (28%) with a straight stream nozzle. I used it as part of a 12 row system. The straight stream nozzle puts the N in a very narrow band. About a silver dollar sized spot on the ground. Just set pressure, speed, and row width into a formula and you're good to go.
