I saw the diet thread by Bigfoot. Has anyone had the new LipoProfile? Most people are aware of the HDL, LDL and total cholesterol but now there is research on the particle size. Lipoprotens come in different particle sizes and the research says the smaller LDL particles are what build up in your arteries. So if you have the LipoProfile, there will now be a number for LDL-P.
Problem with this, is since there is no way to change it, insurance does not pay. I had to pay about $83 recently when I had my annual bloodwork done.
