Out of 6 yearling heifers, three have developed a swollen joint & limp just above the hind hoof. Not at the same time, but about 3-4 days, another will show up with it. Same leg, too! So far, a shot of banamine & 4.5cc/100 lb of LA200 will clear it right up-it's just odd--. No outward injury, just a sore leg. Do you think it's nutrition related? They get 12% feed daily & loose mineral available, good fertilized fescue/clover/misc. & TLC : ). Poor babies. No sniffles or cough, just lameness. South central MO is cool & wet...?
