doesany one know where i can find a really nice limi show heifer. i would like it to be born febuary-april of this year. i want to start looking now so i can get it spoken for

deer valley in tenn has nice limis, magness in colorado have awesome limis.......those are the big names that i know other than that you might try looking at the nalf website for sales.

I see your from Kansas. Bohi in Wellsville, KS. Pinegar in Springfield, MO. Counsil Family in Welch, OK. all are large breeders with excellent cattle. The prices will probably be more reasonable than Express Ranches but Express does have beautiful limousin cattle. You can look for a list of breeders on the North American Limousin Federation website.

My kids show limi and it all depends on just how big a check you wanna write. The names the folks mentioned are all very good and reputable, but you could easily have a nice chunk of change in a heifer. In our regional show, my kids had two of their heifers (one home grown and one bought for 1500) in the final drive of 8. We finished second and fifth...one, three and four had Ex on the side with total out of pocket for the three of almost $30K.

There are others breeders that are more of the family show group from our area and yours...

If you are just getting into the limi game, just hollar if you wanna talk...we've been the family show type for about 10yr now...

Don't shy away from the Express cattle just because "some" of them are expensive. They really support the kids with their scholarship program. It is worth taking a look at. I think that when I was showing back in high school, they would give $500 in scholarship to the kids if they won at their state fair junior show or field day as well as more money depending on the placings at regionals, national level shows, and the National Junior Limousin Show. Pretty good deal if u ask me.

im pretty sure karlton isnt afraid of writing a check. no matter if he gets a scholarship or not. he wants a calf...hes gonna get that calf. expecially if there awsome calves.

hey kelly just so you know i bought a pair of reg. polled herefords for 6000. they are freakin "awsome". they will be some good club calf producers. then josh tried to buy them from me for 2000
