Has any tried to take limi x angus cows and cross them on a char bull. All calves would go into our feedlot, so salebarn prices are not an issue and we would not keep any for replacement heifers. I know limis and chars are both continental breeds do I'm not sure how they would cross.

I've got a Limi x Char cow that really produces a heavy calf when bred to Gelbvieh or Balancer bulls. She has a dandy heifer calf right now that is going to be a real looker.

I would think they be fine. I have seen some really nice Limi-Char cross cows before. My grandpa owned some years ago and they made nice cows. Only problem around here now is it has to be primarily black to bring top dollar at the sale barn. I wonder when they will come up with a Black Charolais?

Red and Black charolais have been around for a long time. Part of the breed up program.
