Lice???

I know what lice usually looks like on cattle but this one is different. We have one cow with patches of hair off on from her tailhead and down her rump. Doesn't look like she has rubbed it. Some small patches on her shoulders but mostly on the rump. She has been like this since late fall but the patches of bare hide are getting larger. Funny thing none of the others have any hair loss.

Any ideas? I know pictures would be better. Maybe I can get some this weekend.

For me, in my area, this is the time of year I start to deal with rain rot. It's a fungus that causes patches of hair loss. In my herd the patches are usually on the shoulders and around the tail head. Easy problem to fix, I use a mild iodine solution (not straight 7%) from a spray bottle and that kills the fungus. Here the lice don't show up until late spring.
