If you haven't seen it yet. First they said it was a fireworks factory and then later they said it was "confiscated high explosive materials.

It looks like a nuke going off.

As far as non nuclear explosions go that was a big one. Feel for anyone who was nearby. I was about 10km away from a shipping container full of fireworks that exploded and the bang and shock wave was something i will never forget. I thought a jet must have crashed.

I heard that it was Ammonium Nitrate which can make a pretty big bang. Also you see a fair amount of smoke coming from that area before the explosion. I remember reading about a ship load of that stuff that went off in the 50's at a port on the south Texas coast. I don't remember the details but it did a lot of damage.

Missed this one, the shock wave would have been awesome.

The Oklahoma bombing was about 2 tonne of the same stuff, what a mess that was, would not want to be near thousands of tonnes....

We have a bigger depot not far from a major city, but, we have protocols and procedures....the prob in the mid east is no one wants any rules...or too have too follow anything...
