Any of y’all had any experience broadcasting rye grass this late in the season? Didn’t get any out in the fall and thinking about sowing some with some clover soon. Mainly looking for earlier grazing in my pastures.

I'm about to try the same thing on a few acres that I didn't get to earlier. I drilled some wheat, rye grass and clover on December 7th. Its growing but been kind of slow about it.

I planted ryegrass in late January last year and was grazing it by early April. I'm in North Central Arkansas, you're further south so I'd say it'd work for you, you just don't get to graze it as early as if you'd planted it in the fall but still alot of good grazing. I broadcasted it and drug a homemade drag over it.
