I paid $25 a ton spread in Western Kentucky this year. Nobody here spreads so you have to wait on the one guy in my area to get free time, I asked if that is a business I should look into, he said very little work in spreading lime, mostly he spreads fertilizer and makes very little on lime, who knows?

The co-ops I deal with have tow behind spreaders and truck mounted spreaders. I get treated quite well at our local warehouse, because I don't mind fixing there tore up stuff. It's a real shame the way some folks treat other folks stuff. And most folks won't even tell the warehouse that the equipment is broke. I look at it as a privilege to be able to spread my own stuff with someone else's equipment.
