I have about 15 acres of mostly fescue that I plan to cut for hay. Trying to figure out which would be better to over seed with kobe lespediza or red clover? What makes one better then the other. I do realize kobe is an annual. Please give me as much feed back as you can thanks!

Clover will start growing earlier in the year and will provide more mass then lespedeza. If you only get one cutting a year which is typical around here the lespedeza won;t be growing much when you cut it. Clover is a more difficult to dry/cure. For us, lespedeza works better for grazing then hay. Clover works well for both hay and grazing.

Would you recommend broadcasting anything else with the clover and fescue? Do not have a great way to drill anything.
