The better cow markets here are up to $1.15 to $1.18 for kill cows. So we are seeing some 8 month bred cows going to kill if they are framy and in good condition. :( McDonald must be hungry. The thin 1000# cows go back to the county.
Where do you think we will be this fall?

i think the kill cow prices will stay up for alot of years to come.i sent 2 light bred cows that weighed 1465 av and im pretty sure they went to the packers.heck i dont see steer or heifer prices going down for years to come.

This is what ours are here I got 3 that will be growin wheels pretty soon.

I think for once those prices are about what ours are. I have a few to go this fall, one is a 9 year old MASSIVE cow... probably in the 2000# range. I'm hoping she'll have a calf before then though... I'm going to have 4 dinks this year. One little heifer that just doesn't grow, and 3 late ones
