One of our show heifers was vaccinated with 6 way virus shield. She has a fever of 102.4 and the runs. She is off of feed. Do you think she is sick or a side effect of the vaccination?
I vote for sick. 102.4 is not real high, but with the symptoms I think it's high enough to justify treating her. Did the vaccine cause it? Some will say yes, some will say no, but neither will be able to prove it.
You were right. She had pneumonia. She had previously been treated with a couple of other drugs- baytril and naxcel. This time they injected her Resflor Gold. This had been one expensive sickness.
